An expired Dubai trade licence may remain under administrative cancellation for up to three years, during which it may be renewed upon payment of renewal fees and a late fine of AED 200 per month. If it is not renewed, it may be permanently cancelled. A shareholder may establish or join another UAE company during or after this period, subject, where applicable, to a one-time AED 1,000 charge when applying for a new licence.
